FLOWER GARDEN is an original 24" x 18" oil painting on a gallery wrap canvas. The painting is of the gardens at the T. C. Steele State Park. T. C. Steele was an impressionist artist from the late 1800's, who settled in the Nashville, Indiana area. He brought other artists to the area. As a result, the area became a haven for artists. The town of Nashville still has many galleries and artists who have art contests and Plein air events. The flower garden is based on the plants that grew in the Steele garden when they lived there. The Steele estate is called Whispering Pines, so I included some of the pines that circle the garden. This is an impressionist painting with strong contrasts. It will enhance many color schemes. It will light up a room, especially if other objects pick up the bright pinks, blues or whites.
GALLERY WRAP CANVAS - The painting extends down over the sides of the canvas. The depth of the canvas is 2" wide. Since it is painted on all sides, the painting does not need to be framed.
