ROBIN IN THE ROSES is an original 20”x20”x1” UNFRAMED oil painting on a high quality professional canvas This is an incredible painting! It is a bright, colorful scene of a rose garden with a robin in the middle. It’s painted in the style of Vincent Van Gogh. I was so inspired, I’ve painted several in his style since. I was painting the roses, and I was putting some peach rosebuds in the center of the painting. And then left for the day. When I came back the next day, one of those rosebuds looked just like a robin! So I turned it into a robin.. This was the same day that a friend of mine passed away. And she loved birds. So I kept the robin in there and memory of her. This is an amazing painting that would light up any room you put it in. If you pick up the beautiful range of orange and peach colors and accent them in a pillow or a blanket, it will light up the room.
There is an impressionistic feel to the whole painting which is very pleasing. The paint is applied with bold strokes and the colors are striking.
