CLEMATIS STAINED GLASS is an original 15” x 30” oil painted canvas. This is a thought-provoking abstract painting. The colors are a marvelous mixture of teals, greens, blues, and purples. There’s some great textures with impasto paint. The inspiration behind this painting is a Tiffany stained glass window I saw at a museum. There were several panels of various flowers and I fell in love with the beauty of the window. I couldn’t wait to get home and begin to paint some of the panels. I painted a set of three of the hollyhocks, called a triptych. If you have a 12 foot wall, you could buy the triptych set and put this clematis painting on top of the three.
