GREAT SPOTTED WOODPECKER is an original 9”x12” UNFRAMED oil painting on a quality linen canvas. This incredible painting is of a striking woodpecker perched on a branch of a tree. Red berries are growing around the tree, and provide a great contrast to the black and white of the bird. Some birds stay in Indiana all winter. I love watching the birds. There is a commitment you need to make, though, if you want the birds to survive the winter. Once fall comes, if you want the birds to stay all winter, you need to commit to feed them during the winter. I have a lot of bird feeders outside my window and love to see the many bright woodpeckers every day. There is an impressionistic feel to the whole painting, which is very pleasing.
