THOUSAND ISLANDS HYDRANGEAS is an original 12 x 16” UNFRAMED oil painting on a canvas panel. This is a beautiful painting! It was painted en Plein Air, meaning painted on site. I set up to paint in the grassy area by a large yellow house. I was attracted to the large hydrangea bush with bright pink flowers. In the house next door, there were some purple flowers blooming. If you look at the back of the painting, you will see a red angel-wing stamp. That means I painted it during the Clayton Paint Out in August, 2021. There were 25 artists painting all over Thousand Islands. I painted a total of 5 paintings that week, and more later. If you look through the paintings on my website, you will see some of them. The flower colors are beautiful shades of pinks, rose and mauve. This is a wonderful painting that will light up any room. It is painted on a high quality canvas panel. The paint is applied with bold strokes and the colors are striking.
