THE BOATHOUSES is an original 12" x 12" oil painting on a gallery wrap canvas. The painting is of a row of well-known boathouses on Wellesley Island, in the Thousand Islands. The boathouses are iconic, known by everyone on the island. It was painted on site in August, during a paint-out. If you look at the photo of the back of the painting, you can see the red stamp of angel wings. That’s the stamp certifying it was painted that week as part of the outdoor painting event. This is an impressionist painting with strong contrasts. It will enhance many color schemes. It will light up a room, especially if other objects pick up the soft pink such as a pillow or a vase.
GALLERY WRAP CANVAS - The painting extends down over the sides of the canvas. The depth of the canvas is 1 1/2" wide. Since it is painted on all sides, the painting does not need to be framed.
