STRAWBERRY VANILLA is an original 12” x 16” oil painting on a gallery wrap canvas. The painting is of my Oak Leaf Hydrangea bush from my garden. They are a two-toned flower - pink and white, just like a double dip ice cream cone. That’s where the name of the flowers came from. It was a bright sunny spring day when I painted the flowers, so some are deep pink, while others are just a blush of pink. I’ve included a photo of the actual hydrangea picture.
This is an impressionist painting with strong contrasts. It will enhance many color schemes. It will light up a room, especially if other objects pick up the soft pinks and greens, such as a pillow or a vase. The painting extends down over the sides of the canvas. The depth of the canvas is 3/4” wide. Since it is painted on all sides, the painting does not need to be framed.
